The Botox treatment procedures really became popular in 2002 after the FDA approved it to treat frown lines around the eyes. While the procedure is very safe and effective, there is a rare risk of side effects which include bruising at the injection site that lasts several days, eyelid drooping that can last several weeks, nausea and flu-like symptoms.
